Hello everyone:

I'd like to proudly announce the appointments for Captain and Vice-Captain for the GSCL 2003 season. This season, we will be ably led by Avi Rakhit and Vikram Datla in the roles of captain and vice-captain, respectively. They both bring many years of experience in the league and have also led the team on various occasions in the past.

Avi has been a long-standing member of our club and has led the batting on many occasions. He was the vice-captain in 2002. He has also chipped in with some very useful bowling performances in key situations. I have every confidence in his ability to lead us through this season.

Vikram has also been a member of the club for several years. He has been the mainstay of our batting, coming in generally at number four or five. He had a breakout season last year, averaging over SIXTY-FIVE in the league and was one of the league's leading scorers. He's also a very deceptive bowler and has the ability to quickly pick up wickets as he has shown on many occasions. 

Under their leadership, I'm confident that our team will perform to the best of it's abilities and that we will once again have a competitive and enjoyable season. Gentlemen, best of luck and I look forward to playing under your leadership this season.
